I took these during the spring when I was in North Leitrim, its the least populated place in Ireland which is saying a lot as Ireland is one of the least populated places in Europe. Areas like the one I was in were abandoned at some stage there is evidence of homes and farming but the land has been turned into forestry.
An old horse drawn Hay Bob, left abandoned, the field that it was left in has been overcome with scrub trees. A Hay bob is a machine for turning cut grass and forming it into rows.
That will keep them out, gate and no fence!
