Donegal Castle at Dusk

Sorry for the quality they were taken with my phone while I went for a walk in Donegal town centre, I was pleasantly surprised to find this off the town square.
It was the stronghold of the O'Donnells who were the ruling clan in that area for one thousand years from the 5th Century. They can claim links to Niall of the Nine Hostages a king from the 5th century who was involved on raids in England and is said to have captured St Patrick and brought him to Ireland. The O'Donnells fled Ireland in the 17th Century after defeat to the English in the Battle of Kinsale with other Clans in what became known as the 'Flight of Earls'

Loved the color of the sky in that first shot...
taking them at dusk made them look very haunting...I liked them!
