Ballynahown Sculpture County Westmeath

This Sculpture is in the centre of Ballynahown village it is made with bog oak. Sorry for the quality of the pics but forgot my camera for second day running.

Now that is a really cool sculpture. And I like the idea of a tree made out of wood :)

Bog Oak is found buried in the peat bogs, Peat is a fantastic preserve for most things, usually the oak has great features, nice to see it used in this way

Yeah, pretty creative. And it's typically Irish (at least it strikes me that way :-).
