Kilconnell Galway

Here are a few Pics of Kilconnell Friary, it was a franciscian monastery in the 15th centuary being established in 1414 all of this building was completed by 1500 with the exception of two small chapels.

The place is in a small village in west of Ireland, there are quite a few of these deserted monasteries throughout Ireland, but were destroyed or abandoned due to wars here in the past

jeez, if i had any talent for taking pictures i would totally try to give you a run for yr money at yr amazing job=)) but seeing as the only thing i having going for me is my loud voice and meager writing skills you have absolutely nothing to worry about!!

I wish it was my job to take photos, but its a hobby. there are better shots in some of these places but I haven't the time to get the shots. thanks for the lovely comment

These are surely some of the most beautiful photos you've posted here! Would love to see this place - I think I have to try and see more of the Galway area next time I go to the west coast (next year hopefully).
